Tuesday saw all of Year 3 go out on a school trip to Michelham Priory that dates back to 1229. An archaeological site famous for its mysterious and eerie past, the children had fun handling Bronze Age tools and learning about burial sites and rituals, making clay animals and silver amulets, before going on a walk back in time around the grounds. After lunch, the children had time to explore a replica Bronze Age Roundhouse and played in the grounds. Back at school, the children will be writing some spooky tales about what it would be like to spend the night at Michelham Priory. Thank you to all the parent helpers that came along to support, the day wouldn’t have been possible without you!
