On the morning of Thursday 4th April, 8 Year 4s went to Heron Park School for a Unihoc tournament. There were 9 other schools participating and we played in 2 different groups. In our group were Ocklynge, Gildredge House, Pevensey & Westham and West Rise. Mr Griffiths kindly came into school on Tuesday to give the children a bit of a practise and it was clear that they learnt lots. They played really well in all their matches, with 3 draws and one loss. Miss Atwell and I were so very impressed with the amazing attitude and behaviour of the children we took. They were a real credit to our school and we were really proud of them. We unfortunately missed out on a place in the semi or finals, but stayed to support the other teams – it was a really enjoyable morning! Thank you so much to Miss Atwell for her support and to Mr Walton for driving the minibus.
