On Thursday 22nd March, the Year 3 corridor was transformed into an airport so that we could all fly to Florida for the day. Upon arrival, we explored our surroundings with a treasure hunt before planning a visit to Disney World; learning about the impact of hurricanes and sketching animals and their habitats. At the end of the day, we relaxed on the ‘beach’ with ice pops and flew home just in time for the end of the school day! The Year 3 teachers enjoyed our trip as much as the children did – it was a great way to conclude our topic and develop the children’s geography skills. We would like to thank the children for their enthusiasm and parents/carers for their support with the children’s Florida-themed outfits which really helped them get into the spirit of the day.
